Time together as a family
Jak Trueman was a normal happy Very Well healthy teenager until August 2014, when he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. They brought us in and showed us other bereaved parents who then became our road map for surviving this. Team Jak’s practical support is flexible, personal, and available at home, hospital, or from our Jak’s Dens. We provide hands-on help to ease everyday pressures — from travel grants, help with schoolwork and tutoring to household tasks and family logistics. Join us at a welcoming Jak’s Den, for family outing, or at a themed event. We are a registered charity and we are here for children and young people aged 0-25, their families and friends.
